Lawns Medical Care

Welcome to Lawns Medical Care, Marks Gate

Lawns Medical Care is run by North Street Medical Care, a GP practice in central Romford. Two of the partners regularly work at the Lawns and we also employ a salaried GP, a nurse practitioner and practice nurses. The nursing team undertake much of the Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), contraception, smear, hypertension, diabetes and asthma monitoring. The nurse practitioner has her own caseload of patients including management of common ailments and chronic disease. She is also able to prescribe as is one of the practice nurses.

The Business Manager is responsible for staff and financial matters and the overall management of the practice owned equipment. We employ 4 reception/administrators at the practice. Some of the administration is undertaken at our Romford practice.

Is A&E for me?

NHS outer north east London has launched a campaign to stop people going to A&E unless it is a serious medical emergency. They are using clear messages to stress that A&E is only for serious medical emergencies and other NHS services are available everywhere.

You will see adverts on billboards, buses and telephone boxes across Barking and Dagenham throughout January. Please click  here to be directed to the campaign website.
